We hope that your experience at the Seaside Classic is an enjoyable one and we strive to do this by presenting you with the opportunity to play some of the best competition that you’ll meet all year as well as by introducing your teams to fun activities outside of soccer.
If you’re anticipating playing soccer at the college-level, know that there are quite a few visiting college coaches that annually attend the Seaside Classic as part of their recruitment process, some of whom register on
GotSoccer so that you can anticipate their being there. Still more college coaches don’t register with GotSoccer and maintain a low profile while watching matches. If you have already short-listed your prospective schools, send the coach a note as soon as you know that your team will be participating in the Seaside Classic letting them know that you’ll be playing at the tournament and inviting them to come watch one of your games. If your coach can’t attend the tournament, we’ve invited SoccerAspect to offer their
recruitment video services where you can either send the film or they can film the game and then provide highlighted video of your performance on the field. Either way, consider the Seaside Classic a tremendous investment in your pursuit of playing soccer in college.
Your participation in the Seaside Classic however can include more than great soccer games; take the time while you are in southern Rhode Island to visit some of the best beaches in the region or one of the neighboring tourism destinations of Wickford or Newport. And if you’ve got an extra day while in Rhode Island, spending a day in beautiful Block Island can’t be beat!
